What happens if I am thinking about moving walls, doors or windows to expand my space?
Not a problem, Brisbane Kitchens and Bathrooms are licensed builders. This means we can easily and legally work on existing rooms, including load bearing walls to renovate your kitchen.
Is there a correct order when it comes to the flooring around my kitchen?
Once your old kitchen has been removed, there may or may not be matching floor coverings. If the existing flooring needs to be modified, we recommend it being done after installation is completed. If the floor remains as is, it is important to mention this to your designer as it may limit your design capabilities.  We can make the cabinetry larger to conceal any missing flooring if space allows.
Do I need to find my own plumber, electrician or tiler?

No, we are a licensed builder and can legally employ other trades for you. This takes the hassle out of managing the project, not like some other kitchen companies who request you supply your own, and then delays occur.

Is it possible for the walls to be damaged during demolition?
Yes, while every care is taken to remove the old kitchen, some small damage is likely to occur. This will usually be covered by cabinetry and splash backs. In extreme cases such as stubborn wall tiles which do not want to budge, some of the sheeting may come away need to be replaced at your expense.
Does custom cabinetry mean it will be expensive?
Custom cabinets are simply cabinets that are designed to suit your kitchen’s space and requirements. It does not have to be expensive to custom fit your kitchen, we just want to use every bit of your space effectively.
What are the cabinets made out of and where are they manufactured?
All our kitchen carcasses are made from Australian 16mm HMRMDF (Highly Moisture Resistant Medium Density Fibre) white board to ensure strength and durability. They are manufactured and assembled here in Brisbane, ready to be installed into your new kitchen space.

What door and drawer hardware do you use?
We prefer to use soft close drawer runners and hinges by Blum as they have a life time warranty.
Do I need to source my own applicances?

You are welcome to purchase your own kitchen appliances or we can order them for you as part of the project. Our only requirement is that we need to know which appliances during the design phase of the kitchen to factor their sizing in.

Do I really need to tell you my budget?
Telling us your budget assists us in choosing the right materials to ensure your design requirements are met. Eg. Laminex or stone bench tops, standard drawer runners or soft-close, decorative or standard door fronts. We are here to help!
Not sure how much a kitchen or bathroom renovation would cost with us?

Some. Brisbane Kitchens and Bathrooms do modifications associated with kitchens and bathrooms and laundries.

I have had other quotes and the prices are all very different, why is this?
You need to ensure each business is quoting the same products. Different kitchen designs, materials, fixtures and fittings cost different amounts, which means the final pricing will be affected. Make sure you are comparing apples with apples. For example a laminated bench top is more cost effective than a marble bench top.
